Color Tint an Existing Renderworks Texture

Currently, you cannot directly add a tint to an image-based texture in RenderWorks. However, it is possible to achieve this effect indirectly.

1) Draw a 3d rectangle and apply the image-based texture to be tinted. Render the drawing with Final Quality RenderWorks.

2) Select File> Export> Export Image File and use the marquee to select only the 3D object. Select the file type format for export.

3) Click "Compression" in the Export Image File dialog box, and select a Grayscale or 256 grays option.

4) Now create a RenderWorks texture from this grayscale image. Select the Filtered Image color shader rather than the Image Color shader.

5) Import the grayscale image and select the tint color in the Edit Filtered Image dialog box. The applied image is tinted.
