• We recommended against 64-bit operating systems prior to VectorWorks 2008, but as of 2008 significant improvements have been made.

• However, since 64-bit drivers are less widespread than 32 bit drivers (for hardware such as video cards) there is a higher likelihood of problems with these drivers.

• The issue of DXF/DWG Imports not functioning on a 64-bit machine running more than 2GB of RAM is addressed in SP3.

• The only known problems VectorWorks has with 64-bit operating systems are specific to individual machine configurations and are normally solvable without changing VectorWorks or the operating system.
