Side By Side Error - Windows
On Windows XP, Windows Vista and occasionally Windows 7, the following error may occur when attempting to launch Vectorworks:"The application has
failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.
Please see the application event log for more detail"
The cause of this problem is either a corrupt or out of date version of the Microsoft® .NET Framework. To remedy this, run Windows Update. This is found under Start > All Programs directly.
If running Windows Update does not offer an upgrade for the .Net framework, it can be manually downloaded HERE.
