Known Video Graphic Card Issues

Windows

11/10/2008 – Certain NVIDIA drivers dated between June 2008 and December 2008 can cause Vectorworks to crash during startup. For more information please see the following knowledgebase article: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/665/NVidia+Drivers+-+Crashing+Issue

8/17/2008 – Unexpected artifacts may appear and/or crashes may occur when using OpenGL shadows with an ATI FireGL V3100 or V5200 or Radeon X300, X700, or X1800 series cards. To avoid this problem verify that the latest drivers are installed and, if possible, set the 'Smoothvision' setting to 'Application Preference' in the driver preferences.

Macintosh

6/3/2009 – Random OSX crashes have been reported against NVIDIA's GeForce 6800 and 7300 cards when running under OSX 10.5.6 and 10.5.7. The issue appears to have been resolved with OSX 10.5.8 and 10.6 releases.

8/17/2008 – Unexpected artifacts may appear when using OpenGL shadows with ATI Radeon 9650, 9800, X800, or X850 on the Mac. Disabling the 'Use Anti-Aliasing' option under the OpenGL Render Settings will often solve this problem.
