Handling Large .ZIP Files (Windows XP)

The ZIP file format is a data compression and archive format. A ZIP file contains one or more files that have been compressed to reduce file size, or stored as-is. On some versions of Windows, the built in decompression utility cannot handle ZIP files larger than 3.8GB. To unzip a file larger than this, you will need to use another archiver.

With another ZIP archiver installed, right click on the .ZIP file and choose to open it with the correct application:
