Windows 7 Support
Microsoft has released Windows 7 and a number of questions regarding Vectorworks’ compatibility with this new operating system are coming forward. The following are answers to some of the more frequently asked questions;Q. Is Vectorworks 2010 fully compatible with Windows 7?
A. YES. Vectorworks 2010 has been tested with Windows 7 and it should install and run just fine at launch. However we strongly recommend that users update their video drivers when they make the switch.
Q. Is Vectorworks 2009 fully compatible with Windows 7?
A. At the moment, YES. We haven’t found any stability issues while testing Vectorworks 2009SP4 against our latest version of Windows 7. However we strongly recommend that users update their video drivers when they make the switch.
Q. Will older versions of Vectorworks support Windows 7?
A. Older versions of Vectorworks have not been entensively tested on Windows 7. If you do attempt to run an older version of Vectorworks on Windows 7, there is a chance that will encounter installation and/or stability issues for which there is no resolution.
