If the ControlPoint Security Manager noted above is installed, Vectorworks silently fails to launch generating no error for the user. This problem happens completely in the operating system during the launch process before the first line of code in Vectorworks is executed.

Removing ControlPoint Security Manager application software from the control panel solves the issue and allows Vectorworks to launch properly. If the user re-installs the Dell ControlPoint Security Manager from the Dell web site causes the issue to re-appear.
